In January of 2014 the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services was awarded funding for an independent program evaluation study of the FLIP IT strategy as a promising best practice.  Dr. Valerie Alloy, the Behavior Health Administrator, has been a true champion for this project.  Twenty five FLIP IT trainers will be working with 400 families to receive the 6-hour FLIP-IT training.  A university- based research group will empirically validate to the extent possible, the efficacy of the training using a battery of evidenced based measures:  the Achenbach CBCL 1-5; ASQ-SE; DECA-P2; a trauma screen and a qualitative questionnaire assessing usefulness and helpfulness of the training. We are excited to learn the results.
