6.  Committee for Children

Committee for Children is a non-profit organization that has been working since 1985 to promote children’s social and academic success.  Their Second Step curriculum is recognized as an evidence-based program and Devereux has partnered with CFC to create the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment Second Step edition (DESSA-SSE) to ensure that educators, schools and districts can effectively track and measure Second Step outcomes.  Committee for Children also highly recommends the use of the DECA Program with their early childhood version of Second Step.  Click here to see how these resources work together to promote children’s social and emotional health.
